Brittany Van Riper’s journey in dance began as early as age 2 in Monroe, MI, where her passion for movement quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit. Growing up immersed in the world of dance, she has beautifully blended decades of practice with her innate creativity—culminating in over 30 years of dancing and an impressive 15 years of teaching experience.
Her foundational training was rooted in the elegant world of ballet. For 14 years, Brittany nurtured her skills at the River Raisin Ball vet Company under the skilled guidance of Gail Choate-Petit, where she developed a deep reverence for the art of ballet. This experience not only refined her technical prowess but also instilled in her an appreciation for the beauty and discipline that ballet uniquely offers.
Determined to broaden her artistic horizons, Brittany later ventured into higher education at Wayne State University in Detroit (2016-2018). There, she explored an eclectic range of styles including modern dance, improvisation techniques, West African movement, and Stott Pilates. Her academic journey also ignited a fascination with kinesiology and dance science, merging the art of dance with the science of movement—a synthesis that she passionately shares with her students.
Today, Brittany inspires a diverse group of dancers by infusing each lesson with creative energy and joyful expression. Prospective clients can expect an experience where technique meets innovation, and tradition dances gracefully with modernity, ensuring every step becomes a celebration of life and movement.
